Listener Discriminations

The part of an individual’s verbal repertoire that allows them to discriminate between verbal stimuli based on their properties and the meaning behind them. For instance, when one responds to “give me a cup” by handing them a cup instead of a plate, listener discriminations are observed (Cooper et al., 2020).
